BROADCAST PRODUCTION
I have nearly two years of experience in producing television programming.
At ITV Wales, I worked as a Newsroom Journalist for two summers around my studies. I had long stints on the planning team sourcing contacts, sniffing out stories and organising reporters’ schedules. I also gathered on-screen interviews for the lunchtime and evening news and wrote autocue.
For 18 months, I worked as Entertainment Producer on Made in Cardiff TV’s daily flagship programmes What’s Occurrin’, Cardiff? and The Lowdown Cardiff. The shows I produced were the best-performing magazine shows across the entire Made Television network.
I looked after many areas of the shows – coming up with ideas, setting up stories and filming, writing scripts, liaising with editors to plan show structure and shaping the programme to suit the target audience.
TV PRESENTING
I have lots of on-screen experience from my time as a presenter on Made in Cardiff TV.
I am completely at ease when interviewing individuals and groups, and am happy to get stuck in with demonstrations and pieces to camera.
My enthusiasm to meet people, to help them feel at ease and to encourage them to share positive stories enriches the interviews and generates better pieces.
VISUAL CONTENT
Not just a wordsmith, I'm a visually creative person. I have a great eye for photography and videography, particularly enjoying close-up shoots of food and roaming around busy, colourful outdoors events. I've created case study and interview-style short videos for clients that capture energy and enthusiasm.
I also carry out design projects – on paper, screen and online. If you need a website designing, promotional materials with that extra something or just another pair of eyes on a visual project, give me a shout.
